1. What do I need to become an affiliate?
Nothing! Except your desire to be an affiliate. You don't even need a website (although having your own website helps). You can promote our product via search engines, postings in internet forums, tweeting, posting link on facebook, LinkedIn, recording videos, or simply email all your friends and people you know with your affiliate link to our product.

All you need to do is to send a visitor to our site via a special link (called an 'affiliate link'), and if he or she signs up, you will get a commission.

2. How do I know I will be paid for my referral?
The program is powered by PostAffiliatePro, the leading affiliate tracking software. PostAffiliatePro uses combination of cookies and IP address to track referrals for best possible reliability. When the visitor follows your affiliate link to our site, our affiliate system registers this referral and places a cookie on his or her computer. When the visitor signs up and pays for the product, the affiliate system checks for the cookie and triggers the appropriate commission. Our affiliate system will trigger automatic approvals for successful "order" or "sale" referrals. Referrals are then scrutinized for validity and legitimacy (they need to be real people!) and SumUp reserves the right to not compensate the affiliate and remove (scrub) fraudulent, invalid or undesirable leads.

Below you will find detail describing the commissionable action:

  • Order: An “Order” means a successfully paid order of SumUp’s card terminal product, the "SumUp PIN+ Chip & PIN card terminal".

3. How is the payment handled?
At the beginning of each month, all affiliates who earned commission the previous month are emailed an Affiliate Invoice Request. Upon receiving this Affiliate Invoice Request, please send SumUp an invoice for the stated sum, so that we can pay you for your valued services. It is essential that you send us an invoice in a timely manner, for SumUp cannot process your payment without one. The reason behind this policy is that our finance department needs these invoices to compile its reports for tax authorities. Therefore, we strongly recommend that you send an invoice for the sum that was cited in the request as soon as possible. Affiliates can simply email the invoice to affiliate@sumup.com.

If you aren’t sure what an invoice is or how much you’ve earned, feel free to contact us.

Getting Paid:
Upon receiving your invoice, SumUp processes the document and remits payment no later than the beginning of the next month. You can be paid in one of the following ways:

  • Bank Transfer
To execute a bank transfer, we will need the following details:

    Bank account name
    Bank account number
    Bank name
    Bank code
    Bank address
    Bank SWIFT code
    Bank IBAN

  • Skrill
SumUp encourages affiliates to use Skrill, for this is the most efficient method available. All we need is your Skrill Account. If you do not already have a Skrill account, click here to sign up for free.
